Yesterday, former priest Michael Baker was arrested as he got off a plane in LA. Baker had been in Thailand and Nepal.

He was arrested on charges of molestation that fell within the statute of limitations.

Baker is one of the biggest challenges to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ claims that the chargesthat known and admitted clerical sexual abusers were moved from parish to parish is a "myth."  Why? Because he informed Cardinal Mahony of his issues in 1986, but served in the Archdiocese in several parishes until 1992, and was finally removed in 2000.

That’s why.
