Okay, who else is watching the guy from Utah on Jeopardy!?

I was vaguely aware that something was up a couple of weeks ago because occasionally, as I peeked out of the kitchen while preparing dinner and Michael and Joseph were watching PTI, I’d hear Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon toss out some mention of this Jeopardy! champion, and wonder why.

Then we went to Florida and watched it with Michael’s parents, and I got it – no more five-time limit, eh? And this guy from Utah thinks he’s so smart?

Well.

I’ve watched it the past couple of days, and I imagine I’m not alone in getting ticked off. It’s pretty obvious why the five-time limit was in place and why it was a good thing. If you’ve been on the show twenty-five times, of course you have an advantage over all challengers. You’re more comfortable, you don’t have stage fright, you’ve already won 800,000 dollars, you’re looser, you know how the button thingy works…

Harrumph. I could take him.
