From Mark Windsor

I pray my way through breakfast and recite the reading on the drive to church. I try to get there early and have some quiet time to focus myself on my task. If there’s time I say a rosary, but that’s only happened once. As I’m on my way to the ambo I pray not for myself but for those that listen. I’ve read the text who knows how many times. If I’ve prepared correctly, and if I’ve prayed for sufficient guidance, then I’ll do alright. But the people listening have only 90 seconds to hear it and absorb it. Afterwards, no matter how nervous I was, I don’t feel relieved that it’s over. I feel a little sorry that it’s gone already. I try to remember to say thank you for the opportunity to read, and hope that the message was received.
