The embattled pastor at a suburban Catholic church announced he is taking a three-month sabbatical leave to Australia.

Father Joseph Jarmaluck is the pastor at St. Peter’s Church in Geneva, where he is accused of ridiculing a parishioner from the pulpit after that parishioner spoke out about his concerns with the church’s apparent lack of cooperation in the investigation of the Rev. Mark Campobello. Campobello was the assistant pastor at St. Peter’s when he allegedly molested a 14-year-old parishioner.
