Today, we are celebrating having a new home for our Zazen netcast, right here on Beliefnet!

For folks new to our sittings … I’m Jundo, a Soto Zen Buddhist priest living in Japan. Our community, and these meditation sittings, are all meant especially for folks who wish to sit Zazen (Zen style meditation) together with others, but can’t do so easily:  maybe due to health concerns, living in remote areas,  super busy work schedules, childcare and family needs and such.

So those folks can sit here with me each day (or most days … the camera and internet doesn’t always cooperate). In fact, everyone who wants to sit Zazen with me is Welcome! Pull up a cushion!

Now, some people may feel strange about our sitting Zazen together over the internet, with me “here” and them over “there“, probably continents apart. But I ask such people this:

Where are you at the instant all thoughts of “here” and “there” and “separation” are dropped from mind?

Where are the barriers that truly separate us, and all the world one from the other … except within our little heads?

So, please listen to my little talk then, if you wish, meditate with me for about 25 minutes (truly sit with me, as if in the very same room side by side).

I will explain more about how to sit in the coming days too.
