Moltmann Tweets

posted by Tony Jones

No, Dr. Moltmann hasn’t taken up tweeting.  But others of us have been tweeting about him in advance of his appearence at the 2009 Emergent Village Theological Conversation. If you tweet, and you’ve got a question you’d like us to ask him, be sure and include “#moltmann” and it’ll show up on our Twub.

Tweeting is stupid. No one cares what you ate for lunch. No one cares.

your name – The irony of your comment astounds me. A drive-by comment that has nothing to do with the post yet seeks to ridicule Twitter is so self-incriminating. You basically just demonstrated the very worst type of “tweeting” that exists… in your own words, “no one cares what you think”

I’m attacking what I see as a symptom of a culture of narcissism. No one has so much interesting stuff going on in their life that a means of incessant communication like twitter is necessary. It just makes you look like the self-absorbed attention seeking freak that you probably are.

Your Name – You’re still doing it… you are coming to a blog to blab on about your own opinion… It seems like YOU may be the narcissistic one.
I gotta jet, I’m gonna go admire myself in the mirror and tweet about it.

My Blog Has Moved
Dear Readers, After a year with Beliefnet, I've decided to move to my own domain for my blogging.  It's been a fine year -- some things worked, other things didn't.  But in the end, I'll be a better blogger on my own.  My thanks to the Bnet editorial staff; they've been very supportive. Ple

Ending Christian Euphemisms: "Fundamentalist"
I've taken some heat in the comment section for using yesterday's post on "unbiblical" and a "higher view of scripture" as a thin foil for my own disregard of biblical standards. To the contrary, I was pointing to the use of the word unbiblical as a stand-in for a particularly thin hermeneutic. Ther

Why You Should Get GENERATE
Last week at Christianity21, GENERATE Magazine debuted. With the tag line, "an artifact of the emergence conversation," it fit perfectly at the gathering. When I actually got around to reading it last weekend, I was truly surprised at how good it is.There have been several efforts to begin a paper j
