DirectionlessI love this signpost. It is found in downtown Portland, Oregon. I love seeing how far things are from one another and how things are related to each other in some way.

I laugh at this signpost because the multiple directions of each destination reminds me of how I feel at times — not knowing which way to go sometimes or feeling like I need to get to all of these places all at the same time or at least in the same day. It looks sort of like my to-do list.

So what does that signpost look like in your life? Is it pointing to hopes and dreams? Is it showing you that you have a million things to do and places to be and people to see?

If I were to create my own signpost that resembles this one in downtown Portland, I think it would include names of places I’ve lived, where I’ve worked, show directions on how to get to my loved ones and perhaps give me clues as to what is ahead or which direction I should point my own personal compass.

So which way shall we go?
