Your life should be great.

You should be having the best time of your life each and every day.

You should have all that you want, be able to do the things you want, help the people you want and really be on top of the world each and every day.

You should be doing what ever you can to live the kind of life you want to live and help others live the kind of life they want to live.

So is that happening?
Are you living the kind of life you should be living?

Chances are, like most people, you live the life that’s handed to you. I call this living life by default.

When you live life by default you’re always reacting to situations, always looking at what’s wrong, and never really thinking about or focusing on what you really want.

In the end you just try to get through the day and forget what’s really important – like stopping to smell the roses.

Okay so maybe you don’t want to really smell the roses. But how about pausing to simply enjoy life. Or pausing to reflect on what it is you really want.

What ever it is you focus on or think about regularly in your life you will attract.

So when you’re constantly thinking about the stresses or the “things” you have to do during the day, you keep attracting more of the same. That means more stress and more “things” to do.

Eventually you’ll get to a point where you feel completely overwhelmed and don’t think you can continue anymore. But instead of changing things, you keep pushing yourself.

Change Your Intention

So how about we try a different approach, and here’s a simple solution and a simple exercise you can use everyday to break that pattern and enjoy life a little more and then a lot more.

It all starts when you wake up in the morning. You may not realize it but you set your intention and the tone for the day the minute you wake up and this is where most people end up creating a really stressful day.

Most people will wake up thinking about all that they have to do, all that has to be done and all those “things” that need their attention. So naturally the entire day ends up being stressful and it usually gets worse everyday.

Now instead of thinking about all those “things” that need to get done how about you think about the kind of life you want?

You would think about the way your life should be, and how it should be unfolding.

When you do that you shift from reacting to the day to day events and dealing with all those “things” to creating the kind of life you want.

A Different Way Of Thinking

This is completely different than the way we’re conditioned to function and as a result we don’t live the life we should be living. Instead, we live the life that others want us to live, or the life we don’t want or we’re living life by default.

Take a moment to think about how you feel your life should be. Get a clear idea and have some fun with this because it really is a fun exercise and you get to have what ever you want.

Remove the guilt, and just think about what you want in life and all that you want in life. You may want more time, you may want to travel, you may want to have millions of dollars, you may want to be with a great partner in a wonderful relationship, you may want a great career – you get to choose what ever you want.

As you go to bed at night instead of thinking about how the day went, what went wrong, or all those “things” that didn’t get done, think about the kind of life you want. This is the first part of your creation time – because you’re creating the life that you feel you should be living.

Then when you wake up in the morning, instead of thinking about all those “things” that need to get done, think about what you want in life and the kind of life you should be living.

By thinking about what you want and thinking about the way your life should be unfolding you set a different intention and you change the way your day unfolds. Instead of setting a stressful intention you set an intention to make your life better, to improve your life and to live the kind of life you want to live.

You also connect with your higher power and you give it a new instruction. You end up telling your higher power how you want your life to unfold and you no longer tell it to create more stress for you.

Make The Change Now

Remember, what you regularly think about and focus on you attract into your life. And that all happens because your higher power is responding to what you think about. So change your focus and instead of living life by default, create your life and live the life you feel you should be living.
