Songs for Japan Brings Together Lady Gaga, The Boss, Eminem, and more!

posted by S. Russ

38 artists across many genres of music have teamed up to bring you Songs for Japan.  This 38 song compilation is available on Itunes for the ridiculously low price of $9.99!  Wow, do I sound like an informercial or what?  Well, that’s fine because it’s for a good cause since all the proceeds go to support relief efforts in Japan.

Download Songs For Japan on Itunes!

The list of artists includes the already proactive Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, U2, Josh Groban, Sting, and so many more that it will make your head spin!  It is a lot of fun to imagine what it would be like for all of these people to be in the same room together.  Can you imagine what Josh Groban and Bruce Springsteen would talk about?  Eminem and String?  Beyonce and Norah Jones?

I know, crazy!

Not only is this a great idea, I would much rather get 38 songs for 10 dollars than hear these artists butcher “We Are The World.”

No offense, The Prophet, but I don’t know how you can continue to bring attention to these WILLFULLY sinful people. At some point you cross the line from simply reporting to glorifying, and I am worried for you that you might be going too far.

How silly are the actions of men, ESPECIALLY POP STARS, in their effort to control the creation of GOD.

Let me know when God starts creating pop music, I will surely cover it!

Seriously, there are at least two Christian artists on the compilation, and probably more. I have written about Justin Bieber so much on this site that I decided not to mention him.

They aren’t trying to control the creation of God, their record labels are using their songs in order to donate money to help others.

Then you are a FALSE PROPHET not a true prophet. Do you honestly believe that there are not GODLY people that you could bring attention to? Or are the SINNERS just SOOOOO much more interesting? You claim to be an intermediary between man and God yet all I have seen here is at best secular and at worst of Satan.

These pop stars ARE trying to control God’s creation. Or at least effect change on it. Yet they do so without the power and will of God and so they will be spit from His mouth.

I do post about Christian artists here, but this isn’t intended to be a Christian music blog. There are a lot of those already, if you’d like some recommendations. I also don’t claim to be anything other than someone covering religion and music for fun, don’t take the name too seriously my friend!

I promised to be more patient. The Prophet I do not believe that you are a false prophet, nor necessarily a prophet in general, so I should not have said that.

I just get really heated when I see sinful people using the acts of an all powerful God to bring attention to themselves. Really Beyonce, m&m, you care about Japanese people? More like, you care about your own image and album sales. That is the true issue and I should not have distracted from it :(

I think Puppy Dickens wants this blog to be something it’s not and then gets offended when it doesn’t meet her expectations.

Head, meet brick wall.
