We’re spending a week with our oldest daughter and her husband.  They live about 320 miles from us, so we only get to see them every 6 weeks or so…I’ve posted about them before.

They have two little girls that they’ve adopted in the past 3 years.  Both of them were born to moms who are drug addicts and either unable or unwilling to clean themselves up enough to care for these precious babies they carried.  I do give them credit–they at least carried the babies and didn’t abort them, although, given the 2nd mom’s history of several previous abortions, I believe it was the hand of  God that saved Gracie’s life.

I’m not showing pictures here because they live too close to the bioparents who, when they are out of prison might decide they want to check up on their kids.  The oldest, Ellie, just turned 3 and Gracie will turn 2 at the end of next month.  In both cases, it took over 13 months for the adoptions to be finalized, and this was after they brought the babies home from the hospital.  These girls have known no other parents.

Now, they have a 3rd baby, a boy, who was born 6 weeks early to a mother who was on meth and marijuana when she delivered.  The baby tested positive for the drugs, but, like his sisters, he is a fighter.  We don’t know when the adoption process will begin–the first hearing is next week and they’ve already had him in their home since early January.

All of these children are so loved and are such a blessing to all of us.  I know our Heavenly Father has a special plan for each of them.

I found this song–please listen and look at the photos…very special.
