I believe that God has a purpose for each of us.  There is no child born without a God-given plan for his/her life.  It is our responsibility to learn what that purpose is and pursue it with all our heart.

God’s word tells us in Jermiah 29:11-13,(…..I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord  “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.  Then you will call My name. You will come to Me and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”

“You will search for Me, and when you search for Me with all your heart, you will find Me.  I will let you find Me.”

God has had a plan for each of us long before we were born.  However, we may never find our purpose if we make poor choices along the way or refuse to do what God tells us to do.  He uses every situation in our lives to build on that purpose.  Some of the most difficult experiences we face will mold us into being effective in our purpose.

God has chosen the parents to which we will be born, and they are not all good, godly people.  I was raised in an alcoholic home.  My father had no use for church or God, except to curse Him.  I was molested as a child, by my brother’s friends, but I know that God was there with me through it all.  Now I can honestly understand and minister to people who have had the same experience.  I can have compassion for the children that I know face the same terrible things.

We all face situations and circumstances that are not pleasant.  We choose to make them work for us or allow them to distroy us.  What the enemy meant to bring me death and despair, God has used to bring me hope and life.  God is so good.

So how can we find our purpose in Him?  How can we know what our destiny is?  Tomorrow we will look at some ways we can do just that.
