This is horribly short notice but I just received it myself.  I wish I could attend a day with Nella Uitvlugt on January 14 at Northland Church; but Saturdays are out for me because of my Special Gathering program in Vero.  This email is from Lauralee Wright of Northland Church in Orlando (Longwood), FL.

Many of you are aware that the Children’s Pastor’s Conference is in Orlando, FL next week. With that, we have a few folks who will be presenting on Special Needs Ministries and the need for inclusion on January 14 at Northland Church in Longwood, FL.

One of the folks who will be in town is Nella Uitvlugt, Executive Director of Friendship Ministries in Grand Rapids Mi.  Nella and her crew have over the years developed some great materials for teens and adults who have intellectual disabilities as well as a model for doing what is called Friendship Club. Friendship Ministries is a not-for-profit organization that exists to help churches and organizations around the world share God’s love with people who have intellectual disabilities. Nella has made time in her schedule to meet with us to talk about the aspects of ministering to this group of people who want and need a Savior just like the rest of us!

We will meet at Northland Church, 530 Dog Track RD, Longwood, FL. At 9 AM on Saturday, January, 14! We will be in the main Worship Center, someone will be downstairs to greet you and guide you to the room which most likely will be 4210. Please pass this on to other churches and other agencies who may be interested in attending. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to lauralee.wright@northlandchurch.net.
I look forward to seeing many of you on January 14!

I’m not sure but I’ll check with Northland and see. I’ll get back with you. Great question. If I know them, they are set up for that.

Friendship Evangelism
For many years, I taught a seminar called "Friendship Evangelism."  The basis of this teaching was that people are much more susceptible to hear the promises of the Gospel, if they know and respect you.  We all have a knowledge of the friendship of David and Jonathan from the Bible.  Even if we o

Overcoming Fatigue
After four days of Camp Agape, my children laugh that I'm in my Camp Coma for about a week.  While it's humorous there is a lot of truth in their designation of my abilities.  There are some things that I've learned from others and from my own experiences regarding physical fatigue. First, this

Explaining grace
In the past weeks, I've been going over some of the key words in our covenant relationship with God.  Perhaps one of the most important words we use is grace. Most of us have learned and maybe we even remember God's Riches At Christ's Expense This is great explanation of grace and

Familiar customs and limited means
When the Biblical young woman, Ruth, married into a Jewish family she understood little about their ways, God or religion.  This is my supposition; but I base the conjecture on facts.  Moabites were shunned by the Israelis.  Decades before, Moab wronged the wandering tribes who desired to trav
