A Simple Life, a Childlike Faith

A Simple Life, a Childlike Faith

Scotty won!

After the announcement, the first person Scotty McCreery thanked was the Lord.  McCreery is the current winner of American Idol.  During the entire Season 10, McCreery was a dynamic witness on screen and, it appears, even off screen.  We should continue to pray for McCreery that he will keep this faithful witness for the Savior.

Here is the improptu video of two of Idol‘s avid fans, Tarah and Lindsey.  Their response was the typical, low-key Idol reaction.  These fans were visiting our home when the winner was announced.

Yes, HE WILL BE. WHEN HE WENT DOWN TO HUG HIS FOLKS, JACK BLACK WAS NEXT AND SCOTTY TURNED AROUND WENT BACK TO THE STAGE. GOOD FOR SCOTTY. SOME HAVE THE WRONG IDEA WHEN GOD CALLS THEIR NAME THEY ARE TO SPRED THE WORD AND KINDNESS TO OTHERS.

I am a greatgrandmother 70 years old. and when Scotty opeoned his mouth the first time I knew this young man was who I was cheering for. His relationship with Jesus I knew here is a young man that will walk with the Lord and not bring shame to Him or his family and fans. I think Him and Lauren are a cute couple but I hope people will let then grow up and be friends first. I wish then both the very best and God will bless them both and there familys. Cant wait to see them both win there first award.

Thanks, Rosalie. Good insight about growing in the Lord.

The two finalist were the best..Scotty showes us that to have faith and remain true to oneself is the way we should all be..God comes first in everything we do and it will show through to others. He is a true roll model.

Loren is also in the same catagory..She is a winner too and will go far if she continues in her faith.

Her and Scotty would make a great couple both personally and professionally…but it has to be done thru Christ our Lord and Savior. Then and only then will it work for then..I pray people give them the chance and don’t try to shove this idea down their throats..let God lead them.

Charlene, it seems that many Christians were praying for Scotty–not just young people who know the Lord.

It was such a blessing to watch this talented young man win. It also proved to me that people want a role model for young people, other than someone like Lada Ga Ga.
I was in tears when he thanked the Lord first, and then went down to hug his family and tell them he loved them. It gives me some hope for this sin filled world. I praise the Lord for examples like Scotty and Lauren.

The thing that surprised me was the number of Christians who were watching and cheering for Scotty.

I am so glad that Scotty showed who is 1st in his life, which and should be our Lord, God and Savior since His first commandment is: You shall have no other Gods before me. You can make a God out of anything, or anyone.
I think if Scotty continues in his faith that he could make a huge impression on our younger generation and maybe draw some to Christ. If Scotty keeps God first in his life, he will always be successful in anything he does and God will bless him immensely. Congratulations to Scotty and Lauren. She is a real doll and I believe that she and Scotty make a wonderful couple. They could grow together, learn from one another and I believe that her faith in God is also strong. She is very pretty and sweet. They need to do duets together. Love and prayers to both of them. I pray that they both keep God in their lives, now and going forward.
