“Transparent” is the word most people use to describe Ruth Graham.
No stranger to heartache, she seeks to provide a Biblical perspective to her journey of faith. She is warm and talks openly about her own need for a safe place as she journeyed through her husband’s infidelities, her subsequent depression, her divorces, her teenage daughter’s two unplanned pregnancies, another daughter’s bulimia, her son’s battle with drugs, grandson's special needs and returning to school at age 40.
Although born into the "famous" Graham family Ruth did not feel she had a safe place to unburden the secrets of her life. She felt she had to project and image and wear a mask that she "had it all together". She had to meet others' expectations of her. It was not until a mid-life crisis did that she fully discover the unconditional love and grace of God. Her life's passion is to connect people to that same grace and love she found, no matter who they are or what sin.
Ruth is an experienced conference speaker and Bible teacher. She has appeared on a variety of radio and television shows including: Good Morning, America, The Hour of Power, Focus on the Family, Moody Broadcasting, Fox & Friends, CBN, Life Today and CNN. She has worked in publishing for over 14 years and is the founder of the Ruth Graham & Friends Ministry.
Ruth has three grown children and nine grandchildren. She lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Her life Bible verse is John 1:16.

I may get in trouble here… I have watched the news concerning the couple in Washington State that refused to bake a wedding cake for a same sex couple getting “married”. I watched the news reports on the elected Clerk […]
Speak that I may hear The truth very clear. The truth that is very dear To my heart, dear Lord. And if it isn’t Make it so. That I may know I walk with You.
The definition of meek in Webster’s College Dictionary is: “1. humbly patient or docile, 2. overly submissive or compliant; spiritless; tame; 3. gentle, kind. Far be it from me to disagree with Webster! But… the Bible said Moses was the […]
Wasn’t it refreshing to have the news full of worship and the Cross of Jesus lifted up? His name was lifted up and He got the honor. No one else could have done that! Pope Francis had such a dear […]
About 4 years ago, we had an earthquake in my area of Virginia. When the ground begins to shake you understand uncertainty in a whole new way! Life is uncertain – to put it mildly. Especially these days. The stock […]
How far down do we have to go until we feel the wrath of God because of our disregard for the life of the unborn? I’m talking about the culture where baby parts are harvested and sold for huge sums […]
President Obama announced a negotiated deal concerning its nuclear arms with Iran this AM. With my mind spinning I sat down to spend time with the Lord. As is my custom, I sing a hymn each day…this morning I sang, […]
My car is old – 13 years old…216,000 miles old…it has a cassette player old…. Things are beginning to break down. For instance my CD player is broken. I loved to listen to audio books as I trek up and […]
The SCOTUS has ruled on same-sex marriage. They are in favor of same-sex marriage. I want to remind everyone that SCOTUS is NOT the SUPREME court – God is. And He is not in favor of it. Millenia ago God declared […]
