I’m sure you guys have seen this video of a pretty neat and innovative way of putting a personal twist on this couple’s wedding day by changing the Wedding March to a dance party. While I watching it, I couldn’t help but share their joy and enthusiasm, it’s very contagious. They’re having fun and that’s what the day should be about: But I guess some think it might be too weird for the church. Modern Reformation is asking pastors (on Twitter) if they’d allow it. I can’t see why you wouldn’t if the rest of the ceremony focused on God. It’s different but what’s so Christian about walking down the aisle to “Here Comes the Bride?” Marriage is a celebration which is clearly reflected in their dance. Too bad that joy is lost on so many when they plan their ceremony. It becomes a burden more than a party. A pastor that can’t see that may want to reflect on what the day’s about and why a march down the aisle by the wedding party is more in keeping with the Christian view of marriage than a dance? (This kind of reminded me of 2 Samuel 6:14-16 🙂
