But it’s close! Long time readers of this blog know that I’ve wanted an iPhone since it was first announced. I loved its looks, portability, and ease of use. Recently we bought our 13-year-old an iTouch for her birthday and I thought it was so cool that I decided to get one for my graduation present.
Yes, I’ve abandoned my palm TX for an iTouch! If they had released their new phone on the Verizon network, I might have bought that instead. These exclusive deals with cell phone companies are really stupid since they exclude customers who actually want to buy the product and I refuse to wait around until they decide to make their phone available to Verizon customers.

And you can get so many apps with iTouch that you can’t get on the palm, like the Kindle app that allows you to purchase and read books from Amazon. I was able to get the ESV Bible for free! How cool is that? Too bad I already bought one before I learned about it but I’m not too upset about it since I planned to get the Greek and Hebrew package which allows you to view both the English and Greek or Hebrew in split screens.
The downside of the iTouch, the font is small and sometimes I have to use my glasses to read the font, especially when I surf the net. The second downside is I get motion sickness from the games that utilize the movement of the iTouch. Another downside is that I know I’m going to spend way too much time on it since it is so much fun!
And two big problems with the iTouch is that you can’t watch videos on hulu! Very annoying! And you can’t listen to streaming radio over the Internet. This is such a big annoyance that I can’t believe they haven’t fixed it yet.
