I’m down at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM, speaking at the CLASS Christian Writers Conference. And just shared a van ride with the keynote speaker, Bruce Wilkinson, author of The Prayer of Jabez.

This weekend, Christian writers from around the country will come together to learn how to become better storytellers. Each of them wants to give voice to their own characters like I did with Adanna from Scared and Marina from Priceless.

Although not all of us are writers, all of us do have a story. Sadly, many kids in our world have a messed up story…it’s not the story God has written for them…and we need to do something to change it.

This Christmas, we’re going to be helping change the story for some orphans–like Adanna and Marina. To do that, we need people like you to commit to helping raise money to bring food and water to kids who have none. We need people to help protect girls from sex trafficking. Together we must get more kids back into school.

Otherwise, those stories will never change for the better.

There’s more information about Change Their Story posted online, and a link to sign up to receive the kick-off e-mail. I hope you join us.

Thanks for lending your voice to Change Their Story!

Back to the conference!
