Here is the first batch of photos. It was a busy day, although not as hot as it had been a few weeks ago. Jumbo told me it was over 115 degrees one day.

Today we delivered food to some CarePoints and spent time with the children and caregivers. These photos should give you more of an idea of what Jumbo was talking about in the update I posted yesterday. All of the buildings, wells, and churches you see were completed in partnership with HopeChest, Adventures in Missions, and our partners like Riverwood Church Community, Capo Beach Calvary, and the Bheveni CarePoint Connect Community, (we have dozens more, but we visited their CarePoints today.)

In the photos  you’ll see one of our board members, Jennifer Jukanovich, holding a ball that she learned how to make out of banana leaves and string. Big hit.

You’ll also see photos of the kids we serve. One of them, a young girl, comes from far away and over a mountain to get food and participate in the discipleship program at the CarePoint. I snapped a photo of the mountain she travels over on foot every day in order to get here. That really put things in perspective for me, once again. To walk that long of a distance for the things I take for granted each day.

Keep praying for our team and the kids here. So far the trip has been wonderful, and I appreciate all of your support.

Enjoy the photos, I will post more soon.
