A Gift that Brings True Meaning to Your Life

posted by Tom Davis

As we all discuss and share ideas about life, theology, consumerism, hope, poverty, Christianity, Stephen Hawking’s new book, and other similar matters on this blog, I felt like this Ted Talk cut through topics and dove deeply into the heart of the matter. The heart of what we all want, what is meaningful, and what really matters.

It begins with the question, “Imagine, if you will a gift. A gift that does incredible things for you. Bringing those closest to you together, love to your doorstep like never before and redefine your sense of spirituality and faith.”
Wouldn’t we all love that kind of gift? Watch this and think about what is really meaningful in your life. It will only take you three minutes and I promise, it will make you think differently about what matters to you.

A gift, I think not. An opportunity I guess if you approach it that way. But one to be avoided if possible.

I believe what she is saying is that through the grace of God can all bad things be made good.

Thanks for sharing. I have tried to find the “gift” in every overwhelmingly bad circumstance I face. It isn’t always easy but it is true that something good can come out of almost every bad circumstance we face.
Peace

Certainly not a gift anyone would be begging for. Hopefully, we’ll all learn this lesson without having to go through something like this.

Touching the Image of Jesus: Part 2
When we left Alexandra, she was wondering how she was going to raise $3,411 to travel across the world with a group of Christians she didn't know. She wasn't a Christian and had no church. But she did feel deeply compelled to get on this trip to the Ludlati CarePoint. So she decided to enter a
