Each morning when we wake up the mirror confirms the aging process our bodies are inevitably experiencing. However, as we seek God’s ways and learn to trust in Him more and more, our inner selves – our “real” selves, our souls – are being rejuvenated by the power of the love of God. This is the fountain of youth the world has been looking for, for as our inner selves become more like Christ, that loving core cannot but leak outward and become evident in our countenance and appearance. We are becoming more attractive, not less, as we follow Jesus through our years because Jesus Himself is attractive to every human being when they discover His nature, His love, His compassion, and His forgiveness.

Father,

I love and deeply appreciate the hope I find in Scripture that you who began a good work in me when I first gave my life to you will continue working in me until I become renewed to the image of your dear Son, Jesus Christ. I want to attract people to Your love, telling my story through my eyes and through my words of all that You have done to accomplish your grace in my life. Please continue this process until I look exactly like Your Son and until I succeed at sharing Your resources of love and grace with countless others.
