Prayer, Plain and Simple

Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, so they could have children. (Genesis 20:17)

The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. (Genesis 21:1)

Abraham himself was longing and praying for a child, but his answer hadn’t arrived. Immediately after praying for someone else who was barren, his wife became pregnant. Are you waiting for an answer to prayer that seems to be taking far too long? Pray for someone else in the same – or worse – situation. “Do for others what you would have them do for you.”

Pray for someone else’s miracle today. Perhaps yours is right around the corner!
