“They shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)

Father,

Our hearts sorrow deeply for the nine victims of the massacre shootings at Emmanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina. A pastor, a bible teacher, a school teacher, a coach, church members and citizens are now out of our reach but safe in Your arms. Please bring comfort to the bereaved in this church, in their city, state and in our country.

We come against racial bigotry in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, forgive us as a nation! Teach us to teach our children to love and honor one another. Integrate your Church to unity, we cry, so we may stand together.

In Jesus’ Name Amen

Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. (Colossians 3:11)
