A Prayer For Obama. Day Four

posted by Mark and Jill

Psalm 72 outlines a beautiful prayer for a political leader. We have been praying through this Psalm for the past few days with President Barak Obama in mind.

Our Father, we lift up our President to you…

  • May he have a long and healthy life. (vs. 15)
  • May people pray for him. (vs. 15)
  • May we use our words to bless him through each day. (vs. 15)
  • May the crops of our land be abundant. (vs. 16)
  • May all fruit trees in our land flourish. (vs. 16)
  • May every individual under his leadership thrive. (vs. 16)
  • May all the nations of the world benefit from his leadership. (vs. 17)

We ask these things in the Name of Jesus, Amen

If You Dare, Make This Your Prayer
Here I am Lord, send me. (Isaiah 6:8) Prayer is a gift, isn’t it?! We connect in simple words to the Creator of creation. That alone is astounding. We stand together to offer up our praise and our needs, and here we discover truly what human relationships are intended for. It’s an honor to pr
