Will Iran be Next?

posted by Mark Herringshaw

Dozens of Iranian opposition protesters were arrested today (Monday) after participating in a rally in Tehran expressing support for the popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia. Will Iran be the next Middle East nation to rise and resist their dictatorial regime?

“Lord God, we pray for Iran today. We pray that true peace and freedom will reign there. We pray for the strength and courage of opposition leaders. We pray that there will be no violence. We pray this in Jesus’ name.”

What, no prayer for the dictator there like you did for Egypt? No tirade against President Obama?
You realize a revolt in Iran is the Military-Industrial complex’s worst nightmare; there’d be no excuse for us to invade. Of course such an invasion would be a horrible mistake, but one the Republican candidates were itching to make and likely still are.

We have little influence in Iran compared to Egypt, although I think more and more that the pro-democracy movement there does need some outside help if it’s going to be successful.

Boat-Sinking Blessings
There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from

Plan to Plan and Plan to Pray
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
