“God, Bring Peace to Egypt!”

020211_numolotovclash_20110202_140422.jpgViolence is erupting on the streets of Cairo today. More than 700 people have been injured, and one soldier has been killed, after thousands of anti-government demonstrators and pro-Mubarak supporters clashed. Each side hurled Molotov cocktails and rocks at the other. The situation is volatile. Time to pray!

“God we urge you to bring Egypt into peace!  Only you can settle the chaos. Only you can create harmony between these factions in conflict. There is pride and fear and ambition on each side. Work above and beyond these human evils and work your will. You have a destiny for Egypt and Egyptians, living there and abroad. Bring this crisis to YOUR end in a way that honors your purposes and plans for this great and ancient nation! In Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who lived for  season in shelter of this land of Egypt…”
