Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:5

This scripture from Deuteronomy is part of the Hebrew prayer V’ahavta. It’s so important in Jewish liturgy, that it’s repeated three times a day in the formal prayer service. Christians see this verse in Matthew 22:36-37. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” Loving God is universally understood and welcomed by all people of faith. God is foremost a loving God, and we are blessed to be able to return the love with all of our soul, mind, and might.
