The Razzies: The Anti-Oscar

1389915418For every silver lining there is a cloud and for the Oscars, that cloud is called the RAZZIES. 34 years ago, the first Golden Raspberry (RAZZIE) was given inside a living room but now has grown into quite the spectacle which is as big as it is tacky. Since 1980, the anti-Oscar has been given to deserving folks in Hollywood who should, but don’t know how to make a movie good.

Founded by John Wilson, a self-proclaimed “Cine-Maniac” and author of Everything I Know I Learned at the Movies and The Official Razzie Movie Guide, the Razzies poke fun at Hollywood’s best of the worst. This year’s lists of losers were announced this week and the annual ceremony will be held on “Oscar Eve” March 1st.
