Dear Our Lady of Weight Loss, In 1992, I started working with a man named Bob, to whom I was very much attracted…..honestly. And, yes, it was mutual. Nothing came of it, as we were both married. I haven’t seen Bob in almost 15 years. At that time I was 40 years old, and weighed 125 lbs. and at the risk of sounding immodest, I was pretty darn cute. Now … fast forward … 15 years later, and I weigh 185, and at the risk of sounding pathetic, I am fat and frumpy.
Coffee, the most popular drink in America – next to water – may help some lose weight as it increases the number of calories you burn per hour by 44%! Caffeinated coffee increases your metabolism. Cuppa Joe, be mine!
Sometimes when people gain weight, they are totally baffled, puzzled, befuddled, and mystified. They are sure that they are doing everything right: consuming between 1,200 and 1,400 calories daily, exercising, thinking right, etc. They are on program, on plan, and on point BUT… the plan … it just ain’t a’workin’!
