How many times have you tried giving up the three c’s (cookies, cakes and candy)? Were you up-ended by a deep and inexplicable craving for Dulce de Leche Caramel Haagen Dazs ice cream? Are you a sugar addict?
You can burn an extra 350 calories per day, which translates to 3500 calories in 10 days or one pound permanently removed just by increasing your NEAT!
You might want to give some thought to the color of your altar. This was a complicated decision for me. Although we are talking about weight loss here, for me – weight loss is a vehicle for reinvention and transformation. It’s as much about love, energy, health, spirit, creativity, self-control, and re-birth as actual pounds permanently removed. In which case any and all colors work.
Last month, I spoke at a healthy eating conference and, once again, during the Q&A part of my presentation, people began to toss out the whys and wherefores and their reasons as to how it is that they cannot lose weight. Once we made the distinction because real reasons and excuses, the proverbial light bulb began to snap, crackle, pop. And then, miracle of all miracles ….
