#OneWord Thursday: Have #Patience, Know Thy Grass

“Delight In All” by Janice Taylor, Weight Loss Artist

If I had a nickle every time someone told me that they weren’t losing weight fast enough, or that they weren’t manifesting their dreams soon enough, or they weren’t being who they are not yet but want to be today not tomorrow, I’d have a million nickles, no exaggeration.  (Maybe, with inflation ‘n all, I ought to change that nickle to a dollar and make some real money, hey?…I digress.)

Point being:  If you are inching your way (weigh) toward your goals, if you are pointed in the right direction, you will get where you are going fast enough.   Which is why I chose the word patience as this week’s quotable #oneWord to live by.

Here 10 Quotes to Remind You to Slow Down, Pay Attention, Know Thy Grass and You Shall Get ‘There’ When You Get ‘There’!

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” ~ A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

“Why is patience so important?”
“Because it makes us pay attention.” ~ Paulo Coelho

“Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.” ~ Hal Borland

“If I could store any character quality in a cookie jar, I’d store patience. Chocolate-chip patience cookies. And I’d eat them all at one sitting.” ~ Jarod Kintz, This Book is Not for Sale

“Patience is not passive waiting. Patience is active acceptance of the process required to attain your goals and dreams. ~ Ray Davis

“Inner peace is impossible without patience. Wisdom requires patience. Spiritual growth implies the mastery of patience. Patience allows the unfolding of destiny to proceed at its won unhurried pace.” ~ Brian L. Weiss

“An alternative to love is not hate but patience.” ~ Santosh Kalwar

“Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.” ~ Barbara Johnson

“The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.” ~ Arnold H. Glasgow
