BathTub Visualization
#Visualize the Fat Melting Away on Bathtub Party Day! by Janice Taylor, Weight Loss Artist

Today, dear Tushkateers, devotees of Our Lady of Weight Loss and those who have serendipitously landed on this page, is a holiday: Bathtub Party Day! In honor of this auspicious holiday and in keeping with our #OneWord Thursday tradition, today we will #visualize while celebrating Bathtub Party Day!

Back in the day (nearing a baker’s dozen years ago), when I first started on my journey to Sveltesville with Our Lady of Weight Loss by my side, after a hard day’s work, I often took a long, hot soak. I imagined the excess fat melting away in the steamy bath.

The bathtub, a quiet, private space proved to be the best place to imagine the excess fat melting away, to create a mental picture, to visualize my weight loss success.

Visualizing my success was essential to my success. Much like Dr. Norman Vincent Peale expressed in the following quote, the pictures I imagined took hold. I practiced seeing my success nightly, to this day never allowing those pictures to fade.

I invite you to read through and take in (on a cellular level) Our Lady of Weight Loss’s (and my) favorite quotes to inspire you to #visualize!

Imagine whatever it is you’d like to create. Should the inner-critic, the naysayer show up while imagining, politely ask them to leave, “Here’s your hat. What’s your hurry?” Show them the door and get back to creating your mental images!

“Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously and never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop this picture!” ~ Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

“You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.” ~ Mark Twain

“See things as you would have them be instead of as they are.” ~ Robert Collier

“You got to be careful if you don’t know where you’re going, because you might not get there.” ~ Yogi Berra

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.” ~ Albert Einstein

“If you want to reach a goal, you must ‘see the reaching’ in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal.” ~ Zig Ziglar

“As you think, so shall you become.” ~ Bruce Lee

“Go Confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

“Vision is not enough, it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs.” ~ Vaclav Havel

“Imagination rules the world” ~ Napoleon Bonaparte
