Our Lady of the Squash Blossoms by Janice Taylor, Self-Help/Weight Loss Artist

This week’s Get Jiggy Weight Loss JigSaw Puzzle, entitled “Our Lady of the Squash Blossoms” was inspired by squash blossoms!

Did you know that summer squash blossoms?  And that those blossoms are edible?

Bright orange Squash Blossoms are primarily found at farmer’s markets and specialty stores, and often served fried.   But for those us who steer clear of ‘fried,’ there are several other ways to cook ’em up!

From New York Magazine:  Waldy Malouf’s Baked Squash Blossoms with Ricotta and Honey.

From Orangette: Pappardelle with Zucchini Blossom Sauce.

From Rick Bayless: Golden Squash Blossom Crema.

From Homesick Texan: Squash Blossom Quesadillas.

Before you get busy cooking up your blossoms, click through Our Lady of Weight Loss’s Get Jiggy Weight Loss JigSaw Puzzle, “Our Lady of the Squash Blossoms.”  Clicking burns calories, calms the nerves, potentially puts you into the much sought after ‘flow’ state, and it’s fun!!!

Enjoy!  And … see you tomorrow, when Our Lady of Weight Loss promises to deliver a mighty Kick in the Tush!

Spread the word … not the icing!
