Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way. ~ Native American Saying
I received a number of emails this week that basically asked:
“How can I make it through Thanksgiving without gaining weight, falling off the wagon for good? How can I make it through without ‘playing the victim? How can I make it through without driving myself nuts?”
My answer is this: We manifest what we focus on.
When Mother Teresa was asked if she would participate in an anti-war rally, she declined. She was determined not to participate in anything that had to do with war, for or against – it was still about war. She would, however, participate in a peace rally.
Instead of focusing on ‘weight’ or ‘food’ or ‘family’ or ‘friends’ – the abundance or lack thereof – instead of ‘tuning into’ problems, let’s focus on giving thanks for the unknown blessings that are already on their way.
Take in a deep breath and enjoy the expansive nature of ‘unknown blessings;’ the magical and mysterious nature of unknown blessings.
Rather than going round the Thanksgiving dining table and asking each one to share what they are most thankful for; ask them to ‘give thanks for the unknown blessings that are already on their way.’
Dwell in possibility.
Possibility is where what has not occurred in external reality may be thought of as occurring. It is mental space; it is spaciousness and expansive. Possibility is a place where you are open to experience. Possibility is poetic in nature, and it is infused with confidence and grace.
It’s not about the food; it’s about your life!
Experience the richness of life.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving overflowing with unexpected blessings!
Spread the word … NOT the icing!
