Quotes to Bust Bad Habits Contributing to Weight Gain

This morning, while writing my cheery good morning note to Tushkateers across the land (see Kick in the Tush Club; you too can be a Tushkateer!), I included the following quote from Mark Twain, which I absolutely adore.  I hope you will, too.

Habit is habit, and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.  ~Mark Twain

I was so inspired by Mr. Twain’s quote that I researched hard and fast, gathering “Habit Quotes” that had Bust Fat written all over them, or at least in between the lines!

Here follow an additional 12 Quotes that will surely give pause for thought, enabling you to …

I love the quotes on habits but I was thinking of a habit as something positive instead of negative. I just started going to a gym to workout and it’s taking a huge amount of will power to get myself there every day, it’s a big struggle for me. I particularly identified with the Spanish proverb about habits at first being like a “spiderweb” and then turning into “cables.” I’m really praying that the spiderweb taking me to exercise classes will soon be a strong cable that will pull me there no matter what other temptations life throws at me.

Life was not meant to be a struggle of pain and adversity.  We don’t arrive at “Heaven’s Gate” with any special privileges for not having enjoyed a healthy, happy, joyful, grace-filled life.
