This morning, while writing my cheery good morning note to Tushkateers across the land (see Kick in the Tush Club; you too can be a Tushkateer!), I included the following quote from Mark Twain, which I absolutely adore.  I hope you will, too.

I was so inspired by Mr. Twain’s quote that I researched hard and fast, gathering “Habit Quotes” that had Bust Fat written all over them, or at least in between the lines!

    I love the quotes on habits but I was thinking of a habit as something positive instead of negative. I just started going to a gym to workout and it’s taking a huge amount of will power to get myself there every day, it’s a big struggle for me. I particularly identified with the Spanish proverb about habits at first being like a “spiderweb” and then turning into “cables.” I’m really praying that the spiderweb taking me to exercise classes will soon be a strong cable that will pull me there no matter what other temptations life throws at me.

    Life was not meant to be a struggle of pain and adversity.  We don’t arrive at “Heaven’s Gate” with any special privileges for not having enjoyed a healthy, happy, joyful, grace-filled life.
