4 “Disappointing” Quotes that Inspire???

Disappointment: The feeling of sadness or displeasure caused by the non-fulfillment of one’s hopes or expectations.

While speaking to clients this week, the word ‘disappointment’ reared its head on several occasions.

“I am disappointed that I only lost 3/4 of pound this week.”
“I am disappointed in myself; I gave into the Cannoli.”

We talked our way through the disappointment, straight to elation and then to a more balanced and measured place – The Middle Path.

The Middle Path or The Middle Way is the path of moderation; the path between extremes.

For those who are feeling disappointed, here are 4 “Disappointing” Quotes that may help you find your way to The Middle Path.  I am particularly enamored with the last quote.  I think it powerfully speaks to weight loss, hitting the nail on the disappointing head!

“The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.” – Robert Kiyosaki quotes

“Disappointments are to the soul what the thunder-storm is to the air.” – Friedrich von Schiller

“If I had my way, if I was lucky enough, if I could be on the brink my entire life – that great sense of expectation and excitement without the disappointment – that would be the perfect state.”  – Cate Blanchett

“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.” – Jim Rohn

How disappointed are you? Please feel free to leave your disappointments in the comment box below as you move toward The Middle Path.

Spread the word … NOT the icing,

DISAPPOINTMENTS ARE A PART OF LIFE, I KNOW NOT GOOD. I TRY AND TAKR ONE DAY AT A TIME, THINK POSITIVE AND HAVE FAITH. YES I DO CRY AND WORRY, BUT I TRY HARD AS IT IS TO LOOK ON THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THINGS. I TRY AND STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE NEGATIVE BECAUSE THEY CAN TRY AND BRING BRING ME DOWN WITH THEM. I AM SAD ENOUGH AS IT IS. I GET TIRED OF SOMEONE ELSES HAPPINESS AT TIMES I JUST WANT TO SAY, “STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DO’T SHINE.”

I AM SO TIRED OF BEING SAD AND DEPRESSED.

    Hi Fellow Humans,

The thing that is good to remember, that disappointment like all things passes…joy passes, fun times pass and yes even disappointment passes too….yes, even the eye stingers serve to remind us we are a feeling soul that will work thru the situation and process and move forward.

At the temp job I am currently working, the supervisor told me of an instance where I had transferred someone to the incorrect dept which was true (my error). I then asked her about other examples and someone else had told me different from what she told me so I have been putting alot of calls to the incorrect dept. I thought I knew what I was doing. This assignment is over in a month but I am so disappointed that I have not been doing this job correctly and really feel down about it to the point of second-guessing all the calls! Thank you for any encouragement!
