Astonishing last-minute victory for Angela!

Three federal judges have reversed a ban that would have blocked Angela Hildenbrand from thanking Jesus as her Lord and Savior during her graduation ceremonies in Texas.

The school’s valedictorian had asked the appeals court to block a judge’s ruling that she could not utter such words as “God,” “prayer” or “Amen” during her address to fellow graduates, their friends and families.

Upon hearing of the appeal panel’s decision, the teen said she “took the time to thank God. We’re just so, so thrilled with the court’s ruling. We could just not be more pleased with how it turned out.”

U.S. District Judge Fred Biery’s original ruling prohibited students from praying at the graduation. Biery instead suggested that students modify their remarks to be “statements of their own beliefs,” allow them to make the sign of the cross, wear a yarmulke or hijab, or kneel to face Mecca.

However, the three-judge 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency appeal filed by the Medina Valley Independent School District. Texas Governor Rick Perry and the state’s attorney general had backed the school as well.

Angela,
You have drawn a line in the stand for Jesus Christ. You have worked very hard to earn this honor as head of your class. Tou shoul have every right to express your faith and your thoughts. You have just as much right to state your faith as the agnostic does to express theirs. Keep your faith strong as you walk the path to the future with Christ.

May God bless you and all that stood behind you and your belief in Jesus Christ. I too am a disciple of Christ Jesus and HE is my Lord and Savior. Matthew 28 says it says it all. Angela as you know in God ALL things are possible and your situation proved it. One thing people don’t know/remember is that God is “in Control of our lives”. Congratulations to you and all of your classmates.

Angela, You are a wonderful person along with your Family; I am so proud that you and your family have stood up for what you believe in.
It is unfortunate that we have so many people that say they are Christians and do otherwise. If it weren’t for God the Creator of this world and his Son Jesus that gave his life for our Sins we wouldn’t be here today. I Thank God each and everyday for the blessings he has bestowed upon me and I Thank God for My Famly and all My Friends and last but not least I’ll Thank God for You and Your Family. May God Bless You for standing up for your Rights.

Praise be to God sweet Angela for your faith, your strength and steadfastness for your Lord and Savior. I am asking our Lord to bless you at your graduation and guide your life so you may bring many more to be with the Lord and believe as you do. I will continue to pray for you all the way past your graduation and beyond that.

I really believe that God is beginning to turn our country around and bring it back to a country that was founded on the Word of God and believes in God.

Bless you always,

Kathy – Ontario, California

you forget. there is NO SUCH THING as a separation of Church and State.
The ACLU conveniently forgets to mention the last part of the FIRST AMENDMENT which FORBIDS THE FORCED RESTRICTION and of the FREEDOM OF RELIGIOUS EXPRESSION OF ANYONE IN THE USA.
Congress shall pass NO LAWS regarding the establishment of a religion, NOR RESTRICTING THE FREE WORSHIP THEREOF.
in between these two parts is the FREEDOM OF SPEECH so THE GOVERNMENT and school officials CANNOT ORDER YOU NOT TO SAY JESUS IN ANY SPEECH ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME.
