Why did we care about the May 21 Judgment Day predictions?

posted by

Why was it such a big deal?

Because deep within all of us, there’s a longing for Jesus to return — to take His people home.

That’s why this classic prayer “Come, Thou Long-Awaited Jesus!” — written 300 years ago by John Wesley’s brother Charles — still speaks to all of our hearts.

There is always been controversy about the end of the world, because we fear the unknown…..My best friend posted on facebook that we should read Matthew 24:3-8…also 36….But about the day and hour no one knows, neither the angels on heaven, nor the Son, but only the FATHER….I said that we need to have faith and be good human beings! It doesn’t matter if is a man made or natural disaster if God wills it so we will survive….so have no fear and be kind to one another….enjoy everyday all the miracles of life…..because life is short…

I think a lot of people see the way the world is – Corruption, wars over things like resources, ethnic / religious differences, political leanings, corporations STILL thoughtlessly laying waste to our environment & worshipping the ” Almighty $ “, the condition of the economy on a national & global scale – & so they think ” wouldn’t it be great if Jesus came back today ?

That’s ( maybe ) why people check into, & sometimes get hooked into believing, these somewhat capricious forecasts regarding the Rapture / Second Coming, because they’re unhappy with the current state of the world.

Pharoah lives today just as Pharoah lived when the order was given to build the great pyramids. The difference is, that through the centuries, Pharoah has had different names, the building of the pyramids has just taken different forms. Today, it could be called the “corporate” control of the masses. Now though, Pharoah often has no identifiable name. That makes the indentured servants that much more unlikely to “see” the powers that be on this Earth.

God is not Happy with man-kind right at this moment in time so expect an intervening of some sort soon..Man is on the brink..However to differentiate those that’ll be seperated from those that’ll feel the wrath of an angry God, a Jealous God, an unhappy God, we should know that he has been a patient God and with the idea of gays and lesbian being acceptable by man doesn’t make it ok with God,destroying his creation, in any form of destruction, warrants his wrath. To be saved from this, Christ requires REPENTANCE, with repentance comes the changing of your ways, from traditions to new way of life and understanding..REPENT Now and be saved. US4C

If the world is in such a sorry state..methinks it is because the Church has lost it’s ‘saltiness’..no surprises that it is getting trample under foot. Why has it lost it’s saltiness? Probably many reasons, not the least of which is that so many Church leaders as well as followers are just as cougup ‘in the world and worldy values ‘ as the people they say are taking the place to H*** in a handbasket.

Fact is, yes, the church is declining in power in the US but look at China and North Korea and other places where being a Christian can cost you your life..it is thriving.

Bottom line, quit blaming politicians, and atheist groups and the ACLU for the Church’s failure. They don’t have any power accept the power that those who are supposed to be living out a Christ like life have handed to them because the Christians have become fat and lazy and arrogant their walk. If you don’t believe it, then look at the divorce statistics for Christians. Look at what most Christians are after in life, their goals, bigger homes, bigger cars, more leisure time, etc etc. Not bad things in and of themselves, but, most Christians I know seemed consumed with gaining these things while basically speaking vile;y of those ‘sinners’ that are so opposed to Christ values. Not trying to save them or minister to them, just vile talk and hate mongering and (political maneuvering to stop them) towards them for bringing down Christian America. Wrong approach folks! Judegment begins in the House of God. Clean up your own act to start.

We have no one to blame for our shortcomings as Christians but ourselves. We cannot blame the bureaucracy, the churches or even the people we know. It is for each one of us to stand up and do what we know is right in the eyes of the Lord. The Bible is there for us to learn from it and follow. God will take us, if He wants us. There is no changing that! We just need to do the best we can and have Faith.

As a Catholic I beleive that GOD is not angry with us. We are all human and were born into sin; due to Adam & Eve. God’s son Jesus was not going to come here on may 21st and show himself to Judge us and end the Earth! When it is our time, we will go before God to be judged of our wrongs and that is called: “JUDGEMENT DAY!” I DONT UNDERSTAND WHERE THESE CHRISTIANS/BORN AGAINS thought this.

My opinion on Christians/Born Again People is this: They choose to become that due to varies reasons of all the Bad & horrible things they have done. For Example: They were Drug Addicts, Rapists, abusive people to there spouces, family & freinds, to say a few. So, they think by becoming Born Again, they are cleansed of all there sins! Most of them are hypocrites & I hate to say that their sins are not absolved.

Read 1st Thessalonians 4th chapter and the 15th-18th verse, then read the 5th chapter of 1st Thessalonians 1st-3rd verse. This is all that needs to be said. Anyone that believed other wise, the bible calls them fools, because everyone that says they are called, doesn’t mean they are called. Read 2nd Thessalonians 2nd chapter 1st-12th verses. You must try the spirit by the spirit. Read you bible daily, so that you can put on the “whole armor of God” so that you will be able to distinguish between satan’s words and God’s words.

I believe that we all should carefuly study God’s word on a daly basis just as He commanded us. If we do what is required of us and believe in our hearts that God is able to do what He says, there will be no need for all the name calling or judging. There is a spefic reason why Jesus said in (Matt.13:28-30,especialy v.30,that should be observed very carefuly. He alone is GOD,and we are His servants.God is LOVE,He hate sin,but He loves people.”Let the wheat and the tares grow together”.(Matt. 13:41),the Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.Let us do our work, and let God do His.
