Jason, good article. I enjoyed it a lot. At Tech I was around, and friends with, people from many denominations and backgrounds. I do think we all miss out on a lot of the traditions and background we all have in common and have a lot to learn from each other. I enjoyed the prayer you sent me this summer and have thought more about older tradition prayers, chants, hymns since. There is much to learn from the older teachings – like the Westminster Catechism “The chief end of man is to glorify God…”Let me know if it’s cool to put a link to here from my blog.
