beliefnet astrology matthew currie incompatible signsA typical horoscope lays out what you can expect for yourself in the next week or month based on your Sun Sign. That sort of thing is great, sure… especially if you happen to be the only person on your planet. Astrology, like life in general, is a lot more complicated than “there are twelve types of people, and here’s what’s going to happen to them today.”

This “horoscope” is a listing of the major planetary aspects, ingresses, and events for June 2018. Each aspect is described below, with the date the aspect is exact and a “+/-” which indicates the number of days that aspect will be most in effect. Generally, the closer to the exact date, the more pronounced the effect of the transit. And of course, as with everything else in life: your mileage may vary.

But first, a word about aspects in general. Conjunctions, squares and oppositions can all be difficult. They generate the sort of energy that can get all up in your face and is hard to ignore, but it’s hard to get much done in life without the raw energy they supply. Trines and sextiles are helpful and constructive, but it’s easy to miss out on the opportunities they provide unless you make an effort. Quincunxes? Well, they’re just plain odd.

June 1 Mercury trine Mars
(+/- 3 days) Bold breakthroughs on intellectual tasks, and maybe a bit too much of people getting up in your face and blathering on and on…

June 1 Venus trine Jupiter
(+/- 4 days) Why can’t we all just get along? Maybe under this aspect we can, for at least a little while.

June 2 Venus trine Neptune
(+/- 4 days) Sweetness and light, romance and kindness, and broken diets and overspending!

June 5 Sun conjunct Mercury
(+/- 3 days) You may be having powerful thoughts and ideas, but they may prove difficult to express properly.

June 5 Venus opposite Pluto
(+/- 4 days) The depth of your feelings and affections increases… be careful not to drown in them.

June 6 Mercury square Neptune
(+/- 3 days) Your thoughts and words are likely to take on a softer and more spiritual tone… or as my Dad used to put it, “stop spouting nonsense and try not to sound like such a hippie!”

June 7 Sun square Neptune
(+/- 3 days) Low energies and low expectations. Feel free to sleep in.

June 13 Mercury sextile Uranus
(+/- 3 days) New insights and new thoughts fuels your communications. It’s time to innovate.

June 14 Venus square Uranus
(+/- 4 days) Strange and unusual affections, new attractions, and peculiar tastes are cropping up in unexpected places.

June 15 Mercury opposite Saturn
(+/- 3 days) Serious-mindedness can be a good and useful thing, but beware of depressing thoughts and a lack of confidence.

June 19 Mercury trine Jupiter
(+/- 3 days) Big words and big ideas jump out all over the place, but make sure you’re being as brilliant as you think you are.

June 20 Mercury trine Neptune
(+/- 3 days) A good time for creativity and meditation.

June 21 Venus opposite Mars
(+/- 4 days) Sex drives and the urge to socialize are hitting a peak, but may need a little discernment to keep things from getting out of hand.

June 23 Sun sextile Uranus
(+/- 3 days) Get freaky, get creative, get out and have fun!

June 23 Mercury opposite Pluto
(+/- 3 days) It’s time for some serious thoughts and words.

June 25 Venus square Jupiter
(+/- 4 days) Good times! How good? Really good, probably… unless you need to control your blood sugar or spending…

June 27 Sun opposite Saturn
(+/- 3 days) Energy levels and self-esteems may be dragging a little. Find a way to perk yourself up.

June 27 Venus quincunx Neptune
(+/- 4 days) You love it, you want it… but can you afford it?
