Both Venus in Sagittarius and Venus in Capricorn can be (as befits their symbols) animals in bed, and/or when pursuing the object of their desires. That may sound like fun until you realize that a Goat will climb almost anything in order to get to (and then consume) damned near any old thing they can chew… and do you want someone to love you because you’re a challenge or a conquest? A Centaur on the other hand, is only half animal… the “horse’s ass” part to be specific, and if you’ve ever been romanced by someone with that placement, no further explanation is likely required.

Venus in Sagittarius

You probably love the “chase” stage of a romance, and usually start new relationships with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. The sense of adventure for your partner often comes at the end of the relationship, when you’ve given in to the impulse to wander off somewhere else just as they’ve decided it’s time to commit. This is because you have very high ideals as to what a relationship should be, and enjoy the process and sport of romance… thus odds are good you’ve probably had more than your fair share of them — and you recognize that there are “plenty of fish” out there willing to play along. You probably enjoy some form of friendly competition. Unfortunately your partner may often find he/she has to compete for your attention with your friends, family, and hobbies. People with Venus in Sagittarius are easy to forgive for their relationship blunders, which is a good thing, because they have plenty of them.

“Woo hoo! Hey dudes, this sporty little gal is here for a good time, not a long time. A lot of women are here looking to get married or have a baby, but guys… I’m just like you. I’m here for one thing and one thing only. I need it, and I need it bad, and I need it from a real man. I’m tired of taking care of my needs all by myself. Do you think you have what it takes? Can you go for hours without a break? Can you find that magic spot and sink it the first time, every time? Do you swing a big club? If so, let’s meet up and get it going. This girl hasn’t played Mini Golf in ages, and I want to kick your ass at it. All night long, baby. You bring the pencil, and I’ll keep the score. And no, none of that was a metaphor.”

Venus in Capricorn

People with Venus in Capricorn are solid, reliable, affectionate, caring, and involved partners — once you’ve correctly filled in all the paperwork to get to their heart. Finances can get in the way of any relationship, but you probably respond to (real or imagined) financial security threats a little worse than most. You don’t object to a significant age difference in a relationship if the person is “the right one” (or as close as you are likely to get in an imperfect world). Venus in Capricorn doesn’t usually engage in blatant public displays of affection, but can get good and freaky with it in private. You can project an air of calm stability to your partners, which is often misleading. Generally you are considered to be “a solid bet” for a relationship. Relationships can be a lot of work, but you don’t mind doing it as much as most would.

“Gentlemen: I am seeking a committed long-term relationship. Is that what you are looking for? Are you wanting to jump right into a commitment? Are you allergic to cats? Do you enjoy long walks on the beach? Do you have a reasonable balance of stocks and bonds in your investment portfolio? Are you patient? Are you intelligent? Will my friends find anything about you to make fun of? Do you enjoy being questioned at length if you’ve done something to make me suspicious? Will you avoid checking out any other women when we’re on a date? If you’ve made it this far in my ad and said ‘no’ to any of the above, you’ve already wasted my time and yours.”
