Southern Baptist: Americans not God’s chosen people, do not have Him on our side

“America has been blessed by God in unique ways — we are not just another country, but neither are we God’s special people,” writes Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. “I do not believe that America is God’s chosen nation.

“We do not have ‘God on our side.’ We are not God’s gift to the world.”

    Isn’t it interesting how many countries think “God is on their side?” Guess those Baptists best be praying to get their God to return to our bless country. o)
