“Sex box” designed to teach Swiss kindergartners “touching can be pleasurable”

posted by

Kindergarten children in Basel, Switzerland, will be presented this year with fabric models of human genitalia in a “sex box” to teach them that “contacting body parts can be pleasurable.”

“The kit for teachers to give sex-education lessons to primary school children uses models and recommends having children massage each other or to rub themselves with warm sand bags, accompanied by soft music, according to the Local, a Swiss English-language newspaper.

“Children should be encouraged to develop and experience their sexuality in a pleasurable way,” Daniel Schneider, a deputy kindergarten rector for Basel who helped develop the sex ed curriculum along with experts, had said earlier this year.

He added, “It’s important that they learn to say no if they don’t want to be touched in a certain area.”

It was unclear how this would be accomplished by teaching children that such touching is pleasurable.

Education officials who have reportedly been flooded with over 3,000 complaints from outraged parents have agreed to change the program’s name, but will do nothing to stop the materials from being distributed in schools, according to the Local.

Christoph Eymann, Basel education minister and member of the Liberal Democrat party, told the Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick, “It was no doubt stupid to call it a ‘sex box’ – we will change that.

“But we will stick to our goal: to get across to children that sexuality is something natural. Without forcing anything upon them or taking anything away from their parents.”

My, my, when I was in kindergarten we were there to learn to read and write, not to have sex. Sex we were capable of learning on our own, at a more appropriate age.

When does the NAMBLA porno classes and kiddie porno classes start in Kindergarten in Basel, Switzerland? Children should know that there are such things in the world and that if they do not want to make “kiddie” porn or have sex with men they can just say no and watch it being created, right?….only it could be very tempting because it feels good to make money, right? Who are the ivy league educated dunces that are running our educational systems all around this entire globe? I thought it was just the U.S. of America that was graduating dunces with degrees but now I know we have gutter global problem…..How could they possibly think this a good idea….I know, they graduated with a 4.9 GPA, with tons of extra credit in porn and sexuality toys and a degenerates degree in common sense while they were doing their teachers. I want to vomit all over Basel, Switzerland!

And they wonder why storms of violent winds are coming upon them! What a pathetic scene. The Bible says “Teach a child while he/she is young and when he/she is old they will not depart! A touching they will go!

Maybe they’re trying to maintain the Swiss population. Currently, the Swiss fertility rate is 1.33 children per Swiss woman. But you need about 2.1 to prevent population decline.

That is awful. I hope somebody fires that disgusting kindergarten rector and whoever designed that bizarre and horrifying ‘curriculum’. I am as liberal as they come, but no way does that mean children should be taught something like this. they need to be allowed the freedom to be innocent children. The media is corrupting enough as it is, don’t think they need the kindergarten to do that!

Can you imagine being taught intimate sexual touching in a room full of people? What PREVERT thought this one up?

One complaint about the article. Although it is generally good and
unbiased, one couple of phrases together are very “telling”
–unfortunately, in a negative way. The gentleman defending the sex-ed
program says, “It’s important that they learn to say no if they don’t
want to be touched in a certain area” to which Beliefnet responds, “It
was unclear how this would be accomplished by teaching children that
such touching is pleasurable.” What was “unclear” to me was how anyone
could not see what is absolutely clear: by first teaching that touching
can, and should be, pleasurable (and not shameful) it is obvious that
the child will now become empowered to simply say “Yes” if it’s
pleasurable, and “No” if it’s not (and there can be no concern about
pregnancy or other adult issues between such very young children). That
this is not immediately seen, I think, reveals something deep about how
so very confused and conflicted is the American understanding of
sexuality in general, and child sexuality in particular. Apparently,
only these deep, complex, culturally-entrenched fears prevent us from
    seeing the obvious!
