Nothing wrong about making 95-year-old woman take off adult diaper, says TSA

Have you ever noticed that when a government agency screws up and does an internal review, it tends to come out in favor of that government agency? I have. “We looked into it, everybody, and wouldn’t ya know it? Turns out we didn’t do anything wrong. Now shut up and get back to work, our salaries aren’t going to pay for themselves.” As if that’ll make the whole thing go away.

They keep doing it, though. Here’s the latest example, via CNN:

The Transportation Security Administration stood by its security officers Sunday after a Florida woman complained that her cancer-stricken, 95-year-old mother was patted down and forced to remove her adult diaper while going through security…

There seems to be a lack of common sense on the part of the TSA. Did they actually believe a sick 95 year old woman is a terrorist? Come on. We have gone from one extreme to the other. I found a site to discuss the TSA and other travel issues including airlines, hotels and more at airlineslodgingetc.com

Can we just please not say diaper, it’s Depends when an adult has a urinary problem from whatever. Does the TSA examine womens sanitary napkins too? TSA said the Depends was firm and wet, how can anything detonate surrounded by liquid? So ridiculous. When our troops come home finally can this nonsense stop? Why can’t we just employ sniffing dogs at aisles that people are checked in from? They would be less invasive and would really know their job and what they are looking for.

Naturally a 95 year old woman who is ill would put a bomb in her undergarment! Where else?! I just hope they actually took her into a private room—the article doesn’t say–and treated her with respect. As to whether it should have happened or not? Hard to say. Does seem a bit extreme!

Yes, PS they went to a private room. Read a comment on CNN of a man who carried a bottle of coke with him holding his bag as he went through his line, forgot he was holding it, and nobody even noticed it. Read where you can make some bad bottle bombs with household products, explode and burn you, but nobody saw his bottle in his hand.

Thanks Henrietta for the info. Bottle of Coke huh? We all KNOW Coke is too precious to put anything explosive in it. Sounds like they need to wake up their TSA folks if an entire soda can get through security, but a 95 year old woman can’t.

So, a crazed gunman opens fire and you’re caught in the middle. How can you survive? Heroes come in all sorts of packages. And they wield all sorts of defensive weapons. Such as guns and Jesus. Sometimes both at the same time. [caption id="attachment_12246" align="alignleft" width="480"] Ant

What’s wrong with church today? Are we in danger of turning worship into a flashy concert? Of watering down the message so nobody is offended? Of forgetting the simplicity of the Gospel? I grew up with a preacher’s kid. He was a fake following in the footsteps of his flimflamming father who d
