Rick Warren Recovering From Eye Injury

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Pastor Rick Warren was briefly hospitalized due to an eye injury that he suffered while gardening at home.
Warren’s spokesman Larry Ross said the sap of a firestick plant got into Warren’s eyes when he wiped his brow while gardening. The sap can cause temporary blindness, although Ross said Warren can see.
The 56-year-old pastor was treated overnight and released Tuesday from Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. On Thursday, he sent a message to his Twitter followers asking for their prayers.
“My eyes were severely burned,” Warren wrote. “Excruciating pain.”
He is expected to make a full recovery.
Warren is the author of the multimillion-selling book “Purpose Driven Life,” and founder of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest in Orange County.

Is he going blind too, just like Glenn “Buy Me a Drink” Beck? And what does this say about all their worshippers/followers?

I have no idea. What are YOU trying to say about their followers?
I hope Pastor Warren gets well soon. And I have no love for Glenn Beck, but I wish for his healing as well.

The first thing Rick Warren should do is dig up the plant and bring it to the dump with a sign dangerous! I read he bought it and planted it himself. I can understand that because when my husband and I moved to CA in the fifties and bought our first home we had many gophers running around. We were at the nursary and mentioned that and the nursary man said buy castorbean plants and they will disappear. They had a pretty leaf so we planted them along one side of our backyard fence. The gophers took off, but when our baby grew to a toddler everyone said those plants are poisonous, dig them up and get rid of them. We did.
