Star Trek ‘Training Film’ (and the Trailer for the new one!)

posted by Nell Minow

This adorable film was made on the Bryan O’Connell family’s visit to Universal Studios and posted on YouTube:

And be sure to check out the new trailer for the J.J. Abrams 2009 “Star Trek” movie.

I have one of these Universal Star Trek mini-movies. I made it with my colleague, the Sr. Minister with whom I worked when we were in Orlando for a conference. I got to be the captain and he (in character) was the science officer. We showed it at our church’s annual meeting the year we did it. They were mightily amused. I have the original and made a copy for him at his retirement. I sincerly hope it never makes its was onto youtube or anywhere else. He is retired and has nothing to lose, but I still have to keep my job – thought there is nothing offensive, there is now positive proof that I am a terrible actor.

Are you sure you don’t want to send it to me to put on the blog? 😉 I would so love to make one of these myself. It’s very clever the way they put it together.

Is "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever" the Worst Movie of All Time?
It was a lot of fun to talk to Libby Coleman about "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever." In an article for Ozy, Coleman says that by one standard it is the worst film of all time (or at least since the internet began keeping track) -- it has 115 negative ...
