A Touch of Encouragement

A Touch of Encouragement

Going in Peace

posted by Brandi Harkonen

Martha Williamson always enjoys the benediction at the end of her church service, and even though it may be difficult at times, she tries to live up to its challenge of “holding onto what is good, return no one evil for evil, strengthen the fainthearted, support the weak, help the suffering, and honor all people.”

Martha, you are a magnificent person. Your “Touched By An Angel” series has brought me back to where I should have been my entire life. When I regress to my younger days, and all that I lacked in faith and a committment to our Lord Jesus Christ, I realize that so much time of my life was wasted. Before I leave this life, I would love to meet you in person. Your faith, your love of our Lord has lead me to a strength in faith and trust that I never conceived in my wasted days of youth. May the Lord be with you, and I wish you so many good things. Thank you so much for bringing me to my senses.

I cannot upgrade the flash player on My “ancient” computer. You must have recently changed your setting for these videos because I can no longer watch Martha’s message. Is there anyway to put the setting back to what it was a couple of weeks ago?
I really miss my morning listen and simply can’t afford a new computer right now. Thanks for your assistance!

Martha…again and again you deliver a dose of hope and reminders of how the Lord would have us to try to live our lives on this earth. I have posted comments before out of pain and the loss of my husband 3 years ago. But today I thank you for your message of hope…that we could simply “live” the Golden Rule…which is something I try to teach in my work as a professional children’s entertainer…planting seeds in the hearts of the next Generation. When I began 34 years ago I chose the clown name “Christy Clown”…not realizing that Christ was in Christy and what a blessing of healing for a king’s kid who’d lost my own childhood thru many abuses. It has given me a heart for others who hurt. God Bless you for your heart for others. (I’m the singer who worked with Della Reese on a television show in Edmonton, Alberta many years ago…before she went on to become Tess in your marvelous series.)
You are a gift to all of us who have found your ministry!

Dear Martha…
How you must delight in your heart when you read posts such as the one right here by Bryan!!
I know for myself, as I am going through breast cancer rehabilitation on a daily basis, twice a week I look forward to your beautiful videos and savor every word…God is directing each word which proceeds from you mouth. He is still using you, Dear Martha…because you are a willing vessel.
I cherish each video and feel that most all of them are “just for me”…
Thank you!!! And may God continue to bless you and your precious family, I pray in the name of Jesus!!!

Hi Martha…
Once again, you have inspired my thoughts for the day. I am energized with the truth of your words & will hold on to them for dear life today. And as St. Francais has so eloquently written, make I seek to comfort than to be comforted, understand than to be understood, to love than to be loved.
I love you Martha, you are truly part of God’s grace in my life!!! smooches

I must commend you or the person(s) who got rid of a lot of those advertisers which were “taking away” from what you were saying to us because they were so distracting. I’ve noticed the Mormons usually have an ad up now, which makes me very sad. All the other ads have to do with “Touched By An Angel” or to do with you, Martha, and I love that!! However, the Mormon ad makes us think they somehow have something to do with your videos…and that, to me, and a whole lot of others, is such a very sad thing. Having studied Mormonism for five years when we lived in a community that was mostly Mormon, I have to say, this ad is not a great thing for your ministry. I will only say that there has to be an advertiser out there who could take the place of the Mormons. Please consider this. This is more important than many people realize. The reason I’m bringing this up (and I would have much rather been able to do so in private) is because this is of the Eternal. People could relate you and what you’re saying to Mormonism and be lost to our Lord Jesus forever. Please reconsider this advertiser. Thank you.

Hi Martha,
Dealing with other people can be such a challenge, at times. I get so annoyed with myself when I allow someone to change my pleasant attitude about life, or how I want to see it. Martha, I can’t imagine anyone being anything, other than kind to you. But, most of all, I can’t imagine you giving in to their rudeness. You are like an Angel to me. I would feel blessed to be in your presents. You inspire me. I love you.
Dyan

Hi Martha
I do agree with you, every time I leave Church I do feel the Lord with me. Its like if I miss, my week ahead dose not feel the same. For when I am there, its always a message that I need in my Life at that time. So thats why I really try and go every week , for I seek the Lord at all times. You see he is my best friend!!!!
Thank You Again For Your Great Insight God Bless Angie
