Jay, of course the Presidential candidates ought to be talking about the Supreme Court. They should talk about their philosophy of picking judges and about specific decisions with which they disagree (with any luck they will acknowledge they will obey even those decisions).  You and I both know how significant Supreme Court decisions are for everyone in this country.  So voters ought to be asking about these if the candidates try to shy away from them.  Having said all this and with full recognition that Pastor Warren’s books do sell better than ours, he is not the best person to start this discussion.  Why not hold a forum at a law school with legal analysts and professors asking the questions?  I’m sure Alan Dershowitz and Robert Bork would find time to do it.  If not, we could fill in ourselves.
