Alignment Card #13 in The Conscious Living Wisdom Cards (Special Moms’ Edition)

Here is my Conscious Living Wisdom Card text for Alignment:

When we are in alignment our life flows with ease.

Teach your child to let Spirit lead rather then emotions, the mind or the ego. It’s a powerful life lesson that will support them each and every day.

Here is my Conscious Living Wisdom Card text for Alignment:

For You

Our higher self holds our life plan. When we are in alignment with our higher self, we experience a grace and ease to our daily life.  When we are out of alignment, life just doesn’t flow smoothly. It is when our ego or our mind takes control that things get bumpy.  The mind and the ego work from a place of control and control is contrary to living consciously.  If you have drawn the Alignment card, take some time each day to bring yourself into alignment with your higher self.  Close your eyes and envision the mental, ego and emotional aspects of yourself aligning with your higher self.  Don’t worry if you aren’t sure what these aspects are or how to go about bringing them into alignment. Just intend the alignment and it will begin to happen.  Do this exercise daily and watch your life flow.

For Your Child

The Alignment card for your child holds a different message.  A child is naturally connected to her higher self, until she is taught otherwise.  Remember to respect and encourage the natural connection your child has to her higher information.  Honor what she sees even if you can’t see it. If you observe your child shutting down this natural connection, whether because of external or internal experiences, remind her about it.  The Alignment card may also mean that you and your child have been at odds with each other. As a mom you have an opportunity to encourage communication. It may help to view life from a different perspective and to remember that parenting and controlling are two different approaches. Think about whether there is a way for you and your child to find a common ground.

**A note about The Conscious Living Guide Wisdom Cards (Special Moms’ Edition): There are 42 cards in the deck and a guide book. The guide book includes insight for you which is meant to help you live life more consciously as well as insight for your child, which is meant to help support you in your Conscious Parenting.

*Additionally, to avoid the awkwardness of saying he/she all the time, I have picked one gender to identify in each card.

When we choose Conscious Parenting there is no shortage of teachable moments. Almost every situation offers us a moment to share insight, to point out something unique about ourselves or the world and to help our child become critical thinkers about not only their lives, but the world we live in.

It’s such a simple question, but such an involved question. December was a particularly challenging month for Caidin and it made me stop and reflect on this blog. I love sharing information, insight and guidance and my ‘way’ has always been to share real life stories. I think they help y

The NRA Wants Armed Gunmen In The Schools
I'm sorry, but when, how, why and in what world, does the NRA have any say into what happens in our schools. Their push to put armed gunmen in schools is unfathomable to me. Schools take considerable precautions today, ones we wish they didn't have to. But really, if a school system feels the

TUESDAYS NATURALLY: Reset Your Mind
Last year I had the opportunity to read iDisorder by Dr. Larry Rosen. (Interview with Dr. Larry Rosen) It is a book that explores the role technology has on mental disorders. But what I found most important in his book is the notion that our brain doesn't 'shut down' when we turn off the computer,
