My mother-in-law is flying in from New York City on Thursday for a visit. We live in Seattle but the New York metro area has 28 confirmed swine-flu cases, Washington State so far none. I’ve actually found myself wondering if she’ll bring the fabled swine flu pandemic with her. Among swine flu symptoms, I wonder if excessive health paranoia is one. The whole scare makes me think of this verse from Leviticus (26:36):

And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

Are you worried about swine flu? Please tell me no.
