The world’s best pizza place?

posted by David Kuo

Rumor – and Bon Appetite magazine – have it that DiFara Pizza at 1424 Avenue J in Brooklyn, NY may have the world’s best pizza…
…anyone had it?

I have indeed waited on line for an hour to cram into the little pizza joint. 3 or 4 tables. It was excquisite.

If you’ve ever been in New Haven and eaten Sally’s or Pepe’s pizza, you’ll never need to wonder who’s got the best pizza in the world.

Pagliai’s in Iowa City is the best. This nothing more than typical media bi-coastal centrism!

New York style pizza is not pizza! Anything that has a higher percentage of grease than sauce is simply inedible. Chicago style all they way!

This has nothing to do with your current post, but I’ve been keeping up with what you’ve written about Rev. Wright and thought you might be interested in this blog posting. I do not know this man personally, but because I’m a special education teacher, I find it interesting how he advocates for those with disabilities. Anyway…
Oh, and Thinker is correct. Minsky’s is wonderful!

Never had it, but it cannot possibly be any better than Giordano’s in Chicago. Heaven on a plate, I tell you.

Not a big fan of New York pizza. I’ve had it, but there doesn’t seem to be anything much on it.
I was spoiled by Michigan pizza, (Buddy’s in Detroit comes to mind, or Romano’s in Farmington if they’re still there) and couldn’t find a decent pizza anywhere in Arizona, where I live.
Imagine my surprise when I found the best pizza ever in San Pedro California! This is one of those small towns that are part of L.A.
But Buono’s Pizza on Gaffey St. has my vote!

I am not even sure that I know how to do a link anymore. I'm giving it a shot though so, three readers, please forgive me if I mess this up. So Rod Dreher's sister is battling cancer. It is nasty. Back...
I'm back here at JWalking after a bit of time because I just want someplace to record thoughts from time to time. I doubt that many of the thoughts will be political - there are plenty upon plenty of people offering their opinions on everything political and I doubt that I have much to add that will

Learning to tell a story
For the last ten months or so I've been engaged in a completely different world - the world of screenwriting. It began as a writing project - probably the 21st Century version of a yen to write the great American novel - a shot at a screenplay. I knew that I knew nothing about the art but was inspir

I have, I think, just one more round of chemo left. When I go through my pill popping regimen tomorrow morning it will be the last time for this particular round of drugs. Twenty-three rounds, it seems, is enough. What comes next? We'll go back to what we did after the surgery. We'll watch and measu
